Volunteer Info Session: NW Community Food
Temple Sinai and NW Community Food are excited to share a unique volunteer opportunity designed to deepen the longstanding relationship between our organizations! As part of this collaborative project, volunteers from each organization are being recruited to jointly support the critical work of a third partner, Food Justice DMV.
We’re looking for both seasoned and brand-new volunteers to participate in Food Justice DMV’s expertly organized Saturday delivery program. Individual commitment will be approximately 2½ hours between 10AM – 2PM once or twice per month. Ideally, we’ll recruit fifteen volunteers from each organization to work in teams of two or more.
Volunteer Profile: Flexible, friendly, and comfortable communicating via text. Volunteers need not be bilingual. Only half of the volunteers will need to be drivers with the other half serving as navigators. Youth are welcome to participate with a parent or guardian.
