Volunteer Info Session: NW Community Food
Looking for a meaningful and impactful volunteer opportunity?
Temple Sinai’s Davis Center for Social Justice, NW Community Food (NWCF), and Food Justice DMV (FJDMV) share a vision of a community strengthened by working together to reduce food and social injustice. And now we have joined forces! NWCF, using funds provided by Temple Sinai’s recent Lipman grant, will purchase food and supplies for FJDMV, who will coordinate delivery to their clients.
Temple Sinai is now looking for volunteers to help with the food delivery to recipients in Maryland and DC; deliveries take place on Saturdays. Join us on Monday, June 8, for a volunteer info session. We will hear from representatives from both FJDMV and NWCF about the populations they serve and how crucial the need is for these deliveries. We will also get into the practicalities and logistics so you will have all the information you need to sign up to volunteer.
