SUMMARY:JUFJ Legislative Meetings
DESCRIPTION:Temple Sinai has long collaborated with Jews United for Justice (JUFJ)\, a grassroots community working in both D.C. and Maryland for social\, racial\, and economic justice. \nThe new Maryland General Assembly will convene in Annapolis on January 11. JUFJ is now organizing meetings with state legislators\, to advocate for legislative priorities in areas ranging from immigrants’ rights and court and prison reform\, to transforming policing\, maintaining rental assistance\, and implementing paid family leave laws. JUFJ works effectively with a range of partners representing Marylanders most impacted by these issues\, but adding your voice as a concerned Maryland Jewish voter is critical! \nTo sign up to participate in one of these meetings (to be held via Zoom starting the week of December 12)\, click here\, where you can also confirm in which Maryland legislative district you reside. You can also get more details on JUFJ MDGA legislative priorities\, and videos of training sessions for these meetings are also available for your preparation. Questions? Contact Steve Metalitz.
